Celebrities, politicians, business owners and other Branson, MO VIPs were the special guests of La Piazza Restaurant owner Fidel Gomez Thursday evening. Mr. Gomez knows how to throw a party!
The occasion was the re-opening and re-location of one of Branson's favorite hot
spots. La Piazza Italiano Ristorante is now open and located in between Lodge Of The Ozarks and the famed Hughes Brothers Theatre on hwy. 76.
Chef Chewy Garcia served many of the dishes that have made La Piazza one of the top dining experiences in Branson. There were plenty of bottles of wine served and a few soft drinks too.
As a new United States citizen, Mr. Gomez was presented with a special gift by Jim and Nan Smardon of Classic Creations by Nan.
Mr. Gomez then took the opportunity to speak, doing so with emotion and eloquence.
He had many words of gratitude for the Smardons and all
of those in attendance. "Branson is my city. I love Branson. Branson
gave me the opportunity to (have a business)." He went on to thank his
family and friends in a touching moment. Everyone cheered his humble spirit.

The LaPiazza is with out a doubt the very best Italian Restaurant in Branson and Missouri The food is all made after it is ordered so it is VERY fresh and tasty. The deserts are to die for! Congratulations to Fidel for giving us a wonderful place to gather around the piano on Friday and Sat as David Byrd tickles the keys from 5 to 7. Don't miss your chance to a GREAT dining experience. All the gals at Classic Creations by Nan have a new favorite place.
